The Capitol Federal Natatorium features a 50-meter pool with moveable bulkhead. The bulkhead can be put in place to create essentially two pools. The pool is 25 yards wide. The deep end is 13 feet, the opposite end is five feet deep to meet new starting block standards, and the center is three feet deep to provide opportunities for recreation uses.
There is ramp access to the pool on the south side for those with disabilities. The pool holds 694,120 gallons of water that is filtered, treated and heated with a large pump and treatment system located behind the grandstands. The bleachers will accommodate 1,000 spectators. The natatorium is 37,480 square feet and includes men’s and women’s locker rooms, public restrooms, offices, concession stand, lobby and multi-purpose room.
